This spreadsheet shows all data collected about all 1517 buoys found on Great Duck Island during summer 2011, including date, location, presence of licensing number, color, and description.

Buoy data was transformed into a sound piece by assigning a note to each buoy color. Each measure represented one buoy, containing four beats per measure (four different color categories). If performed at 120bpm, the sound piece would last approximately 50 minutes.
